Health Workers and Employment-Based Immigrant Visa
On this page:
Overview
The visa appointment system is intended for eligible applicants who received written notification from the U.S. Embassy, Kathmandu that they must schedule an appointment online.
Health Workers and Employment-Based Immigrant Visa Cases
Employment based immigration petitions with a prior expedited approval are forwarded to the U.S. Embassy from the National Visa Center (NVC). When the Post receives these cases, they are often documentarily incomplete in order to save processing time at NVC.
Who is Eligible
Health workers and employment-based immigrant visa applicants are eligible to schedule their immigrant visa interview appointment if they have been asked by the Embassy to schedule an appointment online.

- I am a health worker or other employment-based immigrant visa applicant.
- My IV case was expedited through NVC, and the IV Unit at the US Embassy in Nepal has asked me to schedule the IV appointment online;
(Please note that after your request for an expedite has been approved by NVC, you must wait for further instructions from the US Embassy in Nepal before attempting to schedule an IV appointment online.)
